Welcome to the Phobic Trust

 

The Phobic Trust's Mission Statement is to:

Stimulate awareness and education of anxiety, phobic and compulsive disorders, alleviate the suffering of those involved, and provide input into the research of the cause and management of these disorders.

The objectives of The Trust are achieved by:

  • Effective management of all resources.

  • Establishment of specialist clinics.

  • Education of medical practitioners and other professionals.

  • Education of the general public and government bodies.

  • Use of trained volunteers on a 24-hour phone line.

  • Established local support groups and assisting support groups nationwide.

Achieving these objectives ensures:

  • Improved security and quality of life for the sufferers and their families.

  • Decrease the overall suicide rate.

  • Decrease the use of alcohol and substance abuse.

  • Greater efficiency of support systems.

  • Lower economic and social costs.
